A BBC elaborou uma lista com os 100 melhores filmes do século 21. Mulholland Drive, de David Lynch, foi o mais votado.

Em segundo lugar ficou “Disponível para Amar”, de Wong Kar-wai. O terceiro posto ficou para “Haverá Sangue” (2007), de Paul Thomas Anderson, “A Viagem de Chihiro” (2001), de Hayao Miyazaki em 4º lugar.
Na lista consta um filme português: “Tabu”, de Miguel Gomes. Aparece no posto 70.
